Materials for the Teacher

Materials Preparation

Prepare Digit Cards. Make double-sided copies of the Digit Cards 0–9 Masters on heavy paper for each student pair and for a display set. Cut apart the cards and store them in an envelope. Save prepared decks of digit cards for the Workshop in Lesson 9.

Prepare Fraction Cards. Fraction representations can be added to the decimal representations to make the Decimal Order game more challenging. Copies of the Fraction Cards Master can be prepared and made available to those students ready for the additional challenge.
