Homework and Practice

  • Assign the Practicing Break-Apart Products Homework pages in the Student Activity Book after Part 1.
  • Assign Homework Questions 1–3 in the Student Guide to provide practice solving multiplication problems using various strategies.
  • Assign DPP Items EE–HH. Bit GG provides practice using data and finding a median. Challenge HH asks students to solve equations using addition and subtraction number sentences.

Math Facts. Use DPP Bit EE to assess students' fluency with multiplication facts for the 5s and 10s. DPP Task FF is a series of math riddles using multiples, factors, squares, and primes. Practice with these items will help students prepare for the Unit 3 Test.
