Select students to share their responses to Question 7 in the Student Guide with the whole class.
As students show their work on the board or overhead, ask:
- Which factors did you multiply together first?
- Why did you multiply those numbers first?
- Did anyone multiply the numbers a different way, using a different order?
- Did anyone get a different answer? If so, can you tell why the two answers are different? Which one is correct?
- How did you check your calculations?
- How did you estimate to check if your answer is reasonable?
