- Assign the problems in the Homework section of the Prime Factors pages in the Student Guide. Assign Questions 1–3 after Part 1 and Questions 4–7 after Part 2. In Question 7, students write their own number riddles. Allow time the following day for students to solve each other's riddles. Review Expectation 5 on the Math Practices page in the Reference section of the Student Guide for students to use in explaining their solution paths.
- Assign DPP items W–Z. Use Bit W to practice adding large numbers while playing the Digits Game as a class. Task Z is a word problem on elapsed time.
Math Facts. Task X provides practice with multiplication facts and multiplying more than two factors using equations. Bit Y is a quiz on the multiplication facts for the square numbers.
