Multiplying Fractions by a Whole

• Assign Questions 1–3 of the Homework section in the Student Guide at the end of Part 1.
• Assign Questions 4–10 of the Homework section in the Student Guide after Part 2.
• Assign DPP items GG–JJ. In Bit GG, students practice the order of operations within the context of the game Operation Target. Task JJ provides an opportunity to practice choosing appropriate strategies for multiplication problems.
• Challenge HH involves representing and naming fractions with area models. This item can be used as a Problem of the Week.
