  2. More than 1/2
  3. Less than 1/2
  4. Equal to 1/2
  5. Equal to 1/2

  7. More than 1/2
  8. Less than 1/2
  9. Equal to 1/2
  10. I know that 2/8 = 1/4. 3/41/4 is 2/4 and 2/4 = 1/2.
  11. Since you are multiplying both the numerator and denominator by the same number it does not change the value of the fraction. 5/10 = 1/2 so 25/50 is also equal to 1/2.

FF. Fraction Sort

Sort the fractions into the table. Decide if each fraction is less than, equal to, or more than 1/2. Use a Fraction Chart or fraction circle pieces to help you.

  1. 1/4 + 1/4 + 1/4

  3. 1/4 + 1/8
  4. 9/4 − 7/4
  5. 3/4 − 2/8
