Use this DPP item to practice the multiplication facts for the 5s and 10s.

  1. 10:00, 10:05, 10:10, 10:15, 10:20 … 10:50, 10:55, 11:00.
  2. 1:00, 1:10, 1:20, 1:30, 1:40, 1:50, 2:00
  3. 15 minutes. Possible response: I skip counted by 5 minutes from 3:05 to 3:20 three times. That's 15 minutes.
  4. 25 minutes. Possible response: I skip counted by 10 minutes from 7:40 to 8:00. That's 20 minutes. Add on 5 minutes to get to 8:05. That's 25 minutes.

A. Time

  1. Skip count by 5 minutes from 10:00 to 11:00. Start like this: 10:00, 10:05, 10:10, etc.
  2. Skip count by 10 minutes from 1:00 to 2:00.
  3. How many minutes have gone by from 3:05 to 3:20? How do you know?
  4. How many minutes have gone by from 7:40 to 8:05? How do you know?
