Slides, Flips, and Turns

• Assign the Create Your Own Quilt Design page in the Student Activity Book.
• Assign the Homework section of the Slides, Flips, and Turns pages in the Student Guide.
• Assign DPP items U–X. Bit U is paper-and-pencil or mental math strategy multiplication practice. Bit W provides addition, subtraction, and multiplication computation practice. Task X involves line symmetry.
• Challenge V is an addition problem puzzle and can be used as a Problem of the Week.

Math Facts. Remind students to review the division facts and the related fact families for the square numbers using their Triangle Flash Cards. Tell students when DPP Bit Y: Fact Families Quiz: Square Numbers will be given.
