  1. Each of the following pairs of students bought a pizza. How much of a whole pizza did each pair eat?
    1. Manny ate 1/2 of a pizza and Ming ate 1/4 of it.                               
    2. Michael ate 3/8 of a pizza and Frank ate 5/8 of it.                               
    3. Felicia ate 1/3 of a pizza. Linda ate 1/6 of it.                               
    4. Lee Yah ate 5/12 and David ate 2/12 of it.
